Angela Smith MP Opens the new refurbished Pharmacy in Stannington.

Angela Smith MP recently had the pleasure of officially opening the refurbished pharmacy on Pond Road, Stannington. This vital local facility has received a complete modernisation and now boosts not only a modern dispensing unit, but also a new consulting room. Angela commenting on the pharmacy said,

“It gave me great pleasure to open this new shop in Stannington. With this new pharmacy the people of Stannington now have a first class service. It will be of a great help to both the elderly and infirm to have this facility in the village. I would like to congratulate the owners in providing this refurbished pharmacy and having faith in Stannington village.”

At the ceremony she cut the official ribbon with the owner Steven Lo’s to declare the shop open and spent time talking to both staff and customers. She also talked to one of the local GP’s in the area who is delighted the village has this improved pharmacy to complement Stannington surgery.
